Four new police officers on the local beat

25 January 2018

Four new first year police constables are now on the beat in the Caboolture region after being sworn in to the Queensland Police Service in a recent graduation ceremony at the QPS Oxley Academy.

State Member for Morayfield, and Police Minister, Mark Ryan officially welcomed the officers to our community in Caboolture this morning.

“I’m very proud to welcome our new First Year Constables (FYC) after they completed 25 weeks of intensive training,” Mr Ryan said.

“The QPS training program has given our recruits all the skills necessary for them to deliver an excellent service to our community as they begin their careers as First Year Constables under supervision.

“They will be at the forefront of creating a safe environment for our residents and visitors, working together with local organisations and groups to maintain the community and lifestyle we all value so much.

“The Palaszczuk Government is committed to keeping all Queenslanders safe and these new police officers are part of our strategy to boost police numbers and resources.

“That strategy will also see more police resources for our community with the new Caboolture Police Station set to begin construction later this year.

“In the meantime, I know that our new First Year Constables will make a valuable addition to the QPS team who work so hard to keep our community safe.”
