Magic returns to Morayfield

18 November 2016

Morayfield Magic is returning to Morayfield on Sunday 27 November 2016 after a highly successful inaugural event in 2015.

An initiative of State Member for Morayfield, Mark Ryan MP, Morayfield Magic was devised as a way to help create excitement for reading and a love of books for local kids.

"We know that fostering a love of reading can improve literacy levels and academic outcomes for young people in our community," Mr Ryan said.

"That’s why I host this annual fun day for local kids and their families, which is inspired by the classic Australian children’s book, Possum Magic.

"The entire event is free and includes a jumping castle, rides, information stalls and the return of the interschool literacy orienteering challenge."

Last year’s inaugural Morayfield Magic was a tremendous success, with over 1,000 people attending and joining in the fun.

Morayfield Magic 2016 will be held at the Morayfield State School Oval, Caboolture River Road, Morayfield, starting from 1:00pm.
