State Member for Morayfield Mark Ryan and Moreton Bay Regional Councillor Adam Hain today visited Caboolture Sports Dog Obedience Club’s new state of the art facility, the Des Strong Arena.

Located in Devine Court, Morayfield, the huge undercover arena will provide club members, dog trainers and dog obedience competitors with a dry, shaded environment, no matter what the weather outside.

State Member for Morayfield, Mark Ryan, congratulated the Club on their new facilities and paid tribute to Des Strong’s legacy.

“This is a stunning Arena and I’m thrilled to see it right here in Morayfield,” Mr Ryan said.

“And it’s a testament to the many years of dedicated labour that Des and so many others from the Club have put in to the Club that this invaluable piece of infrastructure is now delivered.

“I congratulate the Club on its achievements and look forward to celebrating more successes in the years to come.”

Councillor Adam Hain said he was excited about the benefits the Arena would bring to the broader community.

“I’m thrilled to have been part of the opening of the Des Strong Arena, his legacy will be remembered forever through this incredible facility,” he said.

“I was moved hear the tributes for this humble, determined man and I’m excited for what the future of the Des Strong Arena will hold.

“You cannot underestimate the nationwide growth in Australia’s pet industry and the economic benefit that will come to the wider region by having a facility like this in Morayfield.”
