Triple P funding boost helps Caboolture parents feel less stressed

18 August 2017

Caboolture parents are encouraged to take advantage of a world-renowned free support program that has received a boost of $5.35 million over three years in Queensland Government funding.

State Member for Morayfield Mark Ryan said the latest announcement brings the total of Queensland Government funding for the Triple P Positive Parenting Program to $11.95 million since 2015.

“Triple P is designed to give Queensland families with children aged up to 16 years free access to the support they need,” Mr Ryan said.

“This program provides parents with the skills and knowledge to deal with stressful situations in a positive way and provides strategies for dealing with everyday situations.

“It’s all about giving parents a helping hand to deal with the stress of raising children, providing handy tips to help them raise happy, confident children, balance work and family and respond to challenging child and teen behaviours that may occur.

“We want all parents to know that it is okay to ask for help – in fact, more than 85,000 parents across Queensland have taken part in this outstanding program and I encourage all parents in our community to jump online and enrol in some free sessions.

“No matter what stage of life your child is at, or what challenges you’re facing, Triple P can help you learn simple but proven ways to parent more effectively and give your children the best opportunity to reach their full potential.”
